A Unity Chaplain is:
Unity Chaplains are not ordained ministers and have not been trained to counsel people. They are not trained to go out and minister to the larger community. They are not spiritual counselors or even advisors. Unity Chaplains are trained to do four things for Unity Center of Light congregants: hold spiritual space, lovingly listen, pray one-to-one with any individual who asks, and hold what is heard in absolute confidence. Chaplains for 2009 are Carolyn Barrow, Charles Mawson, Pat Mawson Ana Corey, and Millie Smith. A Chaplain is always available for prayer following each service. You may contact a UC Light Chaplain at
